He has been working at radio stations since he was sixteen years old. Randy has played and programmed all kinds of music, but he finds that country and bluegrass are his favorites. He looks forward to getting to know all of his listeners.
Les Irby
By far the most popular specialty music program in the Valley, Les Irby's Bluegrass Saturday Night is a true original. A Shenandoah County native, Les has lived many places but his heart has always been in the Valley.
The Bluegrass bug was planted early when as a kid Les enjoyed watching Reno and Smiley on television. It also helped that the woman who babysat him loved Bluegrass and listened to it constantly.
But his love of Bluegrass really came in the seventies when he attended Bluegrass festivals for the party, but learned to appreciate the music. This where the things he respects most about the music came into focus: the music’s history, honesty, and real emotions.
Les has hosted The Bluegrass Show on WSIG for over 15 years. You can listen to the The Bluegrass Show Saturdays 3pm-9pm.
You can also catch Les Irby:
Nights: Mon-Fri 7pm-12mid
The Gospel Show: Sunday 8:30am-12noon

Lacey was born and raised right here in the Valley and has lived on the same farm her whole life, raising cattle and taking care of her poultry houses. She says "I obviously love country music, but my taste in music is far and wide. Even though it isn't a characteristic of my generation, I watch Hee Haw just for the country star appearances, and I attend as many bluegrass shows as possible. I really enjoy bluegrass and play the guitar and banjo, and I like to sing(mainly to myself...)."
Catch Lacey Weekends on WSIG!
Race is a huge Country music fan and loves being a part of one of the most unique, live & local Traditional Country stations anywhere! He has worked in radio all over the east coast from Maine to Florida and chose to make the Shenandoah Valley home for himself, his wife, and daughter!
